WORK OF EXPERIENCE
Sept. 2008-Present. New Visions of Albany. Slingerlands, N.Y.
Assistant Manager. Medical Coordinator. Promoted and relocated after two months of service. Working with nine medically frail individuals with mental disadvantages. Managing a residential home in the absence of the Program Manager, accompanying residents to medical appointments, ordering medications, communicating with agency’s pharmacy to secure proper medication delivery, implementing daily service goals, documenting daily progress, writing monthly summaries for the Director of Residential Services, transporting residents on community activities, supervisor of staff on shift, assisting manager with monthly scheduling, monthly meal planning, teaching and stressing personal cleanliness by implementing daily ADL routines, supervising residents in their personal finances, responsible for petty cash, food stamps, assisting residential nurse with medical decisions, and providing a safe and secure working atmosphere for both staff and residents alike. Training in CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, Wound Care, Oxygen, Consumer Rights, Incident Reporting/Abuse Prevention, Fire Safety, Hepatitis B/HIV/AIDS/Bloodborne Pathogens, and Tuberculosis.
