..let us step into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.
It was midnight. My pulse quickened and as I shuffled my feet closer and closer to the enterance of the ticketers, I could hear the hums of anticipation, see hundreds of muggles shuffling like sheep, taste the popcorn, smell the sweat in the air, and touch the red ropes that were keeping me from that seat in that such theatre where my hopes and fears would be challenged. Yes, I was among the thousands braving the night, and sleep deprivation, to view and expiereince the sixth Harry Potter novel. I was foolish yes, and saddened too. You see I was not impressed. Sadly so. There was much taken out, very IMPRTANT parts that should have made it into the movie. It was lacking in Tom’s history, the murder of his fellow orphans, the creation of his horcrux locket, the meaning behind the ring, and the burial and memorial service of Dumbledore! I was firstly outraged, and then flat out disappointed to the extent of utter dismay. Needless to say I needed the entire next day just to recuperate….I left work considerably early and developed a sore throat.
Bollocks! Instead of putting in what JK INTENDED for readers (viewers) to read (see) the developers chose to show disgusting displays of sexual innuendo, we wont go into detail of the “Oh Harry your shoelace!” This shows nothing but complete dishonour to the characters, and do not even get me started on the producers insertion of Dumbledore “enjoying Knitting” another horrible innuendo to his own sexuality. However, underneath all of the innuendo, it was rather good, and I wished it go on longer, and quite the improvement from the last movie which was a complete failure. This one brings, I feel, the most accurate rendition of the such chosen parts that producers felt would best make a sale. Sadly Hollywood has once again proven that they will always choose what would make them a bigger buck apposed to SUBSTANCE. . . I shall say no more other than I cannot await their rendition of Hogwarts coming to life and defending itself and patrons. . . How could they possiblybungle that one up?
Lastly, I would like to post my condolences for a second time it seems, for one, no, THEE death of this generation’s greatest wizard.
Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore
With knowing eyes, and half-moon glasses,
Purple robes with stars and sashes.
Silvery hair and a loving heart,
This was a hero, wise in all arts.
Twelve uses for dragonsblood, he found.
Asleep in his marble tomb, quiet and sound.
Phoenix songs surround him still,
Close to the Castle upon the hill.
{I am tweaking and will post the full poem once it is completed}…
