Death’s Rebirth…

Last New Moon was granted me the wisdom of the Death card. Many perceive this card as a bad omen, imminent danger, destruction and well abrupt death. However those of us who have come to terms with this card and learned its diving truth know that it does not foretell actual death it is more symbolic. Of course something or someone COULD die, but the truth of the matter is is that Death brings about change, albeit dramatic change. Sometimes that such change is hard to cope with. Sometimes it foretells you being fired, other times a relationship ending…

What Death also shows us besides the obvious end, is that death precedes rebirth. A fire must consume the forest in order for new growth to begin. That is the natural cycle of things. For me Death signaled in the ending of my relationship of roughly a year and a half. “Divorce” if you will. There have been time that have been hard. There have been both ups and downs. However, I cling to the notion of rebirth, rejuvenation and the calm after the storm. That is what Death truly teaches us. NO matter how far we may feel we are down, there is always an opportunity to resurface. To start again, and bring forth fruition of a different sort.

Soon, the ACE of WATER will be teaching me another and almost opposite and yet strangely enough the same lesson. Start anew. Begin again. The Ace almost always denotes a new beginning in the waters of love. However, sometimes love does not exemplify romantic love. There is love of one’s life, home, job, family, and in friends. There is the love of Mother Earth, there is love of human compassion, and YES…. there is romantic love. I say that there are many types of love partly because I am not ready for a new relationship, or at least my present conscience and society says “No. You need to give yourself time.” However the case may be, that an instance perhaps may take flight and passions may flare yet again. Perhaps this is what the universe is signalling in my future. Perhaps this is what it is showing me. Also, there is the other meaning for the Ace of Water- the Grail.

aceofwater

According to the GaianTarot, the Ace of Water is described as follows:

The Ace of Water shows a deep pool by the side of a river where Salmon spawns. We see bright orange eggs scattered among the rocks at the bottom of the pool, the just-hatched alevins and a salmon fingerling starting to explore her watery world.

Salmon’s journey is one of descent and return, the archetypal shaman’s journey. Salmon will travel hundreds of miles from the ocean back to the stream where she was born to give birth to the next generation.

Divinatory Meanings: Seeking your heart’s desire on a pilgrimage or quest. Following your intuition. The gift of wisdom and a full heart. The journey begins.

Life’s waters have always brought about a person’s inner quest for truth and inner balnce. That is what the Grail symbolizes to me. I am beginngin to start a society in which charity, creativity, tolerance, open-mindedness, art, culture, politics all coexist. Perhaps this is the day when I should lay the foundations. Maybe this is what the universe is saying. Or all in all, maybe it is saying all of this….”Take a drink from the Earth’s Waters,” it is saying. Swallow deep from the well of inner emotion. Accept and begin anew. Let your heart be filled with life’s passions and love. FEEL the earth in all that is wise and beautiful. Drink it up, let it wash over your lips, and taste sweet victory.” This is what I feel the Ace of Water is saying……let us hope that is true.

In peace, light & love…
