wednesday meditations..

29 January 2009

For some time now I have been going to Wednesday night guided mediations at the Center for Integrative Health and Healing. It starts at 7:30 until around 8:30 depending on how ling the discussions take. It is 45 minutes of pure bliss, and in the middle of it you are filled with such an inner warmth, your body is transformed. If you are in the Delmar area in New York state, I suggest you get your astral selves over there next week at 730pm (EST). Blessed Blessed BE!

As for the effects, the Child of Water is every day becoming apart of my life. I am noticing the small nuances that appear: the robins that come to the window at work, to the little grains of salt stuck to the bottom of my shoes. It is such a good feeling to be viewing this world we live in with such a magnificent sight of “viewing the starfish amongst the river rocks.”

On another note, my dear friend Sheldon Jacobson, of New Visions was arrested the other day for grand larceny. If you know him, or of him, it would be the last thing expected. The very last. However, he is still apart of our hearts and mantras. I only wish him the best. I will not use this as an opportunity to boost my blog’s viewers, only know that he is a good person underneath it all, and that you should never judge someone without knowing the circumstance. Anyone, after-all, is capable of anything. Anyone, even you and I.

That is all.

Peace, light and love.

child of water.

“The Child of Water sits at the tideline, where the water meets the shore. As the tide flows and ebbs, treasures are uncovered then covered up once more. The water’s edge is a place of fascination and magic for children and adults alike. The Child’s attention is caught by a bright orange sea star and she watches to see if it will move. Nearby, a hermit crab scuttles by, carrying its house on its back. All around her, rocks and shells are strewn like jewels and sunlight sparkles on the water. Behind her, Mama Ocean rises and falls, ebbs and flows, and the sound of her ripples and waves are a lullabye of the heart.” ~Joanna

Hmmm. Well then. I have tried to post this one here for a while now, and the last one was lost due to mozzilla overload, so hopefully this reaches your eyes.

It is done. The insurance list is done. And we’ve the new apartment. Of course, rent is a bit high for what we’re getting, but it is cozy. There is a little bird’s nest outside our window, aperch a winter snowed branch. There is a winter cottage shack just over the small streamed valley, and there are mountains in the distance. During the gloaming it can be quite beautiful. The walls are all white thus far, and there is a mountain of boxes in the dining room, but that is just fine.

I just slept for 15 hours, so I feel a bit rejuvenated. Last night around 2am when we woke up from our 8 hour nap (yes I don’t know what happened but it felt good) I did my 2009 Tarot spread. What other perfect time could you think of? haha. This is supposed to be my year for Strength, by the Tarot math I did earlier this week. I looks like I will need that strength to get through the coming year. I see alot of changes, especially with the Death Card and all of the Aces. I asked the universe to help guide my focus for the New Moons of the year and to also correspond them with my favourite deck, the Gaian Tarot. Here is the spread to the best of my memory and replacement of the cards. There were only a few cards that were out of order, that got moved during the night, those troublesome home faeries! hehehe. Blessed be!

To start, I think I will begin my rendition of my first New Moon card, which will have importance on the 26th of this month. The Princess of Hearts, like all the other hearts, cups, etc. are water forces. The Princess, page, or Child in the Gaian Tarot, are all beginners and they show us something to learn. They bring us a message of some sort, possibly rght down to the physical in ways of something from nature. The Princess of Hearts, correlates to the Child of Water, see above for the beautiful graphic by Joanna. The Child of Water plays in a stream, showing us the curiosity that we all possess in our younger years. It shows us to look amongst the stream stones for that golden starfish. Keep your eyes open because the message is right there in front of you. To be more specific and talking now of the Hearts aspect, I can expect a message of love to arrive. From family, friends, lovers. Now the message could be good or ill, but it is still a message. Perhaps the way I asked the universe, the Universe itself will show me a message about my love life, or about my family, and perhaps an answer. This is what I will have to go out to the brook for, to search for that golden starfish amongst the frozen ice and stream smooth rocks.

a new year of strength.

12 January 2009
Gaian Tarot "Strength"

Gaian Tarot "Strength"

“Our Lady of Strength, the solar female, embraces a cougar. The mountain lion symbolizes her passion, her sexuality and her wildness. She has tamed her inner beast and made him her lover.

On the rock we see a carving from Italy (500 BCE) that shows a Gorgon Medusa giving birth, assisted by two lions. When we call upon on our inner strength, we may be calm and resolute or wild and fierce. Sometimes we are the Lady and sometimes, the Lion.”~Gaian Tarot

Once again I am pleased to present you with a little Tarot Magick! As I did last year, in order to show you where you will stand and learn to progress to (as well as learn from), I have done a bit of, and yes can you really do it?, Tarot Math! See what you do is this:

  1. Take your birth month and day…(3 December= 12.3)
  2. Take the coming year…(2009!!)
  3. Add all three together…(12+3+2009= 2015)
  4. Separate each individual number…(2+0+1+5=8)
  5. And that dear readers is your Tarot Number for the Year…(Mine being 8, the Strength Card in the Majour Arcana)

Meditate upon your significant card of the year. What is the path ahead of you? What is the Universe urging you to learn? Research both the outer world for the traditional view points on the card, and then translate that through YOU. Digest and talk to yourself, yes I am actually urging this..hehe) and ask yourself, “What does this card signify to you?”

Are you excited? Good.
